July 13
– A resident in the 700 block of South Court Street called 911 to report someone was trying to get into his residence. He then called back to advise it was just his neighbors trying to get a bicycle.
– Officers responded to two reports of a gunshot in the area of West Ohio Street. They were unable to locate anyone in the area.
– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported his car alarm went off, and when he looked outside, he saw a dark-colored vehicle driving southbound. Extra patrol was requested.
– A 911 caller reported someone came into a home in the 1000 block of Lynwood Avenue and stole her patient’s purse, and she was unsure if they were still in the house or not. Extra patrol was requested, and a report was taken on burglary.
– A 911 caller reported three male juveniles with some kind of fire at the railroad tracks between Pickaway and Washington streets. Officers located the subjects on Barnes Avenue and advised they had a smoke bomb. They were advised.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pickaway-Ross on East Mound Street. The alarm company canceled the call, and the scene checked OK.
– A resident came to the police station to request an officer stand-by while he gathered his belongings in the 500 block of East Ohio Street. The stand-by was completed without incident.
– Officers responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Pontious Lane. The owner was contacted, and the scene checked OK.
– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 400 block of Stella Avenue.
– A caller reported finding a syringe in the alley beside the 200 block of East Union Street. Officers located and disposed of the item.
– A Chillicothe resident reported a male in Columbus was continuously calling her daughter’s cell phone at Genesis Health Care on Atwater Avenue. A report was taken on threats or harassment.
– A resident in the 300 block of Faye Avenue reported she lost her debit card, and it was used at Starfire Express on West Main Street. A report was taken on theft.
– Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of Nutmeg Court.
– A caller reported two people were arguing over a cell phone in the 300 block of Long Street. The caller left prior to the officer’s arrival, and the parent advised there was no argument. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported her son took her mother’s car without permission in the 300 block of North Court Street, and he did not have a license. Information was obtained. The officer later advised the vehicle had been returned.
– A caller reported a male and female were arguing in the parking lot at Speedway on North Court Street. A report was taken.
– A caller advised she could see water leaking from the bottom of the water tower across from Tower Court. The officer was unable to locate any water leakage, and the water department was advised.
– A caller reported her 1-year-old daughter had swallowed an unknown pill. The child was transported to Berger Hospital, and a report was taken.
– A resident in the 100 block of Dunmore Road reported she and her husband had been arguing all day, and it was getting worse. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.
– A resident in the 400 block of Faye Avenue reported an unruly juvenile. A report was taken.
– A resident in the 300 block of Cedar Heights Road reported a male subject was next door, and she had a protection order against him. A report was taken.
July 14
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at UDF on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported three juveniles kicking a vehicle in the 600 block of Plaza Drive. The vehicle checked OK.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Tractor Supply on U.S. Route 23. The scene checked OK.
– A resident in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike reported his neighbor had been playing loud music for an extended period of time. Officers advised the music was pretty loud but they were unable to make contact with the resident. They would be sent a notification about the noise complaint.
– A resident in the 400 block of Ruth Avenue reported two females and a male were arguing in the street. The officer advised neighbors were arguing about one of them being up early unloading his truck. The scene checked OK.
– A caller from Martin Auto Sales on Harrison Street reported someone stole a battery from a trailer. A report was taken on theft.
– A caller reported someone in an unknown blue vehicle threw a rock at her car window in the 300 block of Northridge Road. A report was taken.
– A juvenile called 911 to report she heard someone knock at the door in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue and then try to open the door. Officers determined a package was left inside the front screen door, and the juveniles now had an adult with them.
– A 911 caller requested assistance getting her keys out of her locked vehicle in the parking lot at McDonalds on South Court Street. The caller was given the phone number for Fletcher’s Towing.
– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported a known male was at the residence trying to fight with his son, then left the scene. A report was taken on disorderly conduct.
– Officers responded to a 911 hang-up call at PNC Bank on East Main Street. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported some utility lines were knocked down in the 300 block of Long Street, and they were tangled up in his vehicle. AEP was called to the scene, and a report was taken on criminal damaging.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 300 block of East Mound Street. The scene checked OK.
– A caller reported a dog had been left inside a vehicle in front of her business in the 200 block of South Court Street. The vehicle left the area, and the call was canceled.
– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 100 block of North Court Street.
– A resident flagged down an officer in the area of Logan and South Washington streets to report her pit bull had been stolen from her back yard. A report was taken.
– An employee of Children’s Services requested an officer stand-by to deliver a notice of a hearing in the 200 block of Huston Street. The stand-by was completed without incident.
– Officers responded to an activated fire alarm at Berger Hospital. The fire department handled the scene.
– A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Street reported the sewer system at the end of Hayward Street was caving in. A second caller reported the sewer on Northridge Road near Georgia Road also was not draining properly. The service department was advised.
– A caller reported a vacant house in the area had something beeping on the front porch. Officers advised a carbon monoxide detector had been activated. The fire department arrived, and nothing was found. The scene checked OK.
– A caller requested an officer stand-by to retrieve her belongings in the 1200 block of Turner Drive. The stand-by was completed without incident.
– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office advised a vehicle with a brake fire in front of the old RCA building on U.S. Route 23. The fire department responded, but the semi truck driver at the entrance advised he was not having an issue. The scene checked OK.
– A resident in the 900 block of South Court Street reported someone broke into her home and stole a TV. A report was taken on burglary.
– The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested officers be on the lookout for a female driver texting while driving recklessly eastbound on West Main Street. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
– A homeless resident came to the police station to report he had been approached three times by a known male subject while he walked on South Court Street. He did not want a report, just information obtained in case there was a problem.
– Jamie Neff was arrested in the 100 block of Walnut Street after a 911 caller reported a male with a taser and a male with a handgun were fighting in the area. Officers located Neff at the South Court Street car wash and had him at gunpoint until he was detained and taken into custody. As he was being arrested, he requested to be checked out by medics, who transported him to Berger Hospital. He was then released to the Pickaway County Jail.
– A resident in the 1300 block of North Court Street reported his girlfriend was refusing to return his bank card, and they were in an active dispute. A report was taken.
– Officers performed a well-being check in the 300 block of Victor Drive after a caller from Canada advised her daughter reported her father had punched her in the face. Officers were unable to locate the subject.
– A caller reported she had been assaulted by a known male subject in the 900 block of South Washington Street. A report was taken on criminal trespassing.
– Officers responded to an activated alarm in the 1200 block of South Court Street. The scene checked OK.
