John Carroll, 71, of Kingston, husband of Linda Carroll, passed away at home in the arms of his loved ones due to a sudden illness on Aug. 29, 2015.
John is leaving behind his wife; son, John Lee (Kim) Carroll; adopted son through love, John Wright; sister, Nancy (Ted) Brown; brother, Don (Deanna) Carroll; and also adopted through love, Dolly, Shelby and Liam VanHoose.
John was a devoted friend and mentor to many in the community. He was a member of the Kingston Fire Department for 40 years, Mid-Ohio Tractor Association and served his country in the U.S. Army.
John was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Sue Carroll; and parents, Howard and Regina Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Pastor Michael Brady officiating. Calling hours will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
