Kyle Thomas Hanson, 62, of Amanda, passed away Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 2, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Carl H. And Margaret E. (Schifler) Hanson.
Kyle retired from Anchor Hocking Plant 1 after 43 years of service and was a member of the American Flint Glass Workers Union.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Debbie (Petry) Hanson; children, Chuck (Amy) Hanson of Lancaster and Becky Wiget of Circleville; grandchildren, Hunter Chase Johnson and Haley Marcella Wiget; sister, Betty “Sis” (Ron) Lasley of Louisville, Kentucky; and many special friends, including Judy and Roger Irvin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Mickey and Joe Fitzpatrick.
The family would like to thank JP and Ashley and Wanda Garrett and family and all of their friends for their kindness during this difficult time.
The Taylor Funeral Home in Amanda has been entrusted to carry out Kyle’s wishes for cremation. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at Oakland United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service.
