Vesta “Marie” Townsend, 78, of Laurelville, passed away on Oct. 4, 2015, in Chillicothe.
She was born on Feb. 10, 1937, in Ross County, to Allen and Marjorie (Abrahms) Kight.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Brian, Chris and Debra Townsend; and brothers, Glendon and Virgil Kight.
Marie is survived by her husband, Jack Townsend; grandchildren, Eric Vanbean, Krista Allen, Jeremy Townsend, Justin Townsend and Nicholas Townsend; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Lilly, Talon, Lucia, Paltyn and Christopher; and sisters, Alvetta Hanibale, Geraldine Keener, Bonnie Creamer and Jacquelyne Wyatt.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at the Laurelville Church of God. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Marion. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Laurelville Church of God.
