The Wright-Poling Pickaway County Dog Shelter is offering a Pumpkin Show and Halloween adoption special for 25 percent off the regular adoption fee for homeless dogs at the shelter.
From now through Oct. 31, residents will pay just $30 for the adoption fee (regularly $40), plus $15 for a dog tag. All adoptions come with a certificate for the first visit with a local veterinarian and discount vouchers to have your new pet spayed or neutered.
The county dog shelter, located at 21253 Ringgold Southern Rd, can be reached by calling 740-474-3741. Normal business hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
During Pumpkin Show week, however, hours of operation will be as follows:
Monday and Tuesday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
