Police Blotter: Circleville Police Respond to Multiple Incidents on August 22

Circleville, OH — Circleville Police Department responded to a range of incidents throughout the city on August 22, 2024, addressing various issues from alarm drops to traffic violations.

The day began with an alarm drop at 12:01 AM on East Mill Street. The fire and EMS squad responded but did not transport anyone, resolving the situation on the scene. Shortly after, at 12:41 AM and 12:53 AM, police attempted to locate suspects with outstanding warrants on Nicholas Drive and East Ohio Street but were unable to do so.

Extra patrols were conducted on North Court Street at 2:21 AM and East Corwin Street at 5:47 AM, both of which were cleared without incident. A suspicious vehicle reported on East Franklin Street at 7:24 AM was also checked and no report was taken.

Throughout the day, officers handled several other calls. A disabled vehicle on Avon Drive was documented at 12:08 PM, and traffic enforcement led to a citation being issued on South Court Street at 2:04 PM. Minor incidents included multiple 911 hang-ups, parking complaints, and a non-injury accident on Lancaster Pike.

One notable call involved a dirt bike complaint on Third Avenue at 4:50 PM, which was checked and resolved. Later in the evening, at 8:20 PM, extra patrols were carried out on Clinton Street.

The evening also saw several responses to disturbances and well-being checks. A report on South Court Street at 10:19 PM for a disturbance was taken, and a disabled vehicle on the same street at 10:24 PM was cleared.

Other calls included a complaint about a fire department issue at Watt Street at 8:06 PM, which was resolved upon arrival, and an animal call on North Court Street at 8:20 PM, for which a report was taken.

Overall, the Circleville Police Department managed a variety of situations throughout the day, maintaining safety and order in the community.
