[CIRCLEVILLE, October 10, 2024] — The spirit of the Circleville Pumpkin Show is in full swing, with 37 local businesses participating in the 2024 Window Decorating Contest for a chance to win hundreds of dollars in prizes. This year’s theme, “It’s All About Pumpkins,” has inspired a creative array of displays throughout the downtown area.
3rd place Tarbill Heating & Cooling – 115 E. High St. ($100)
2nd Place – Great American Jewelry – 135 W. Main St. ($200)
The contest, which encourages businesses to showcase their festive spirit, invited entries from establishments located within specific boundaries: north to Ted Lewis Drive, east to Washington Street, south to Mound Street, and west to the railroad tracks. Registration for the contest closed at 5:00 PM on October 9, and all entries had to include at least one live pumpkin.
Judging took place after 5:00 PM on October 16, with prizes awarded to the top three decorated windows in both the retail and service categories. For safety and security reasons, only window displays were accepted for judging—outdoor decorations were not included in the contest.
