CIRCLEVILLE, OH – Join the community on Monday, October 14, as an honor escort brings the R+L Carriers trailer to the annual Circleville Pumpkin Show. The escort will kick off at Eldorado Scioto Downs at 5 PM, setting the stage for a significant tribute to veterans.

From October 16 to 19, attendees can visit the Eyes of Freedom memorial at Circleville Memorial Hall. This moving exhibit, which has been part of the Pumpkin Show since 2014, features life-sized murals that pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of military personnel.

“Veterans from every war come to see the life-sized murals, and it’s like they step back in time,” said a representative from Eyes of Freedom. “They relive their past through our memorial, which has grown larger every year. The Pumpkin Show attracts the largest audience we have throughout the country, and we are committed to continuing this important tradition.”

Nanisa Osborn, organizer of the Pumpkin Show, echoed this sentiment, stating, “The Eyes of Freedom has been a very popular exhibit. We’ve been informed that our event is one of the largest audiences they’ve ever had for their memorial.”

The Eyes of Freedom memorial honors “the service and sacrifice of all who answer our Nation’s call—then, now, and tomorrow.” It specifically highlights the fallen members of Lima Company 3/25, one of the hardest-hit units during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

This year’s Pumpkin Show promises to be a memorable experience, bringing together community members and honoring those who have served. Be sure to participate in the honor escort and visit the Eyes of Freedom memorial to pay your respects.
