Delaware, Ohio (Thursday, May 23, 2024) – Pickaway County residents should brace themselves for upcoming road work set to take place throughout the week of May 26, 2024. Weather permitting, the following construction projects are anticipated to impact highways in the area:
U.S. Route 22: New Impact:
- U.S. 22 Resurfacing: Motorists should note that the U.S. 22 westbound ramp to U.S. 23 southbound will be closed from 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 31, through 5 a.m. on Monday, June 3. During this time, a detour will be in place, directing traffic from South Court St. to U.S. 23 southbound.
U.S. Route 23: Continuing Impacts:
- U.S. 23 Resurfacing: Daily lane restrictions will continue to affect U.S. 23 between N. Court St. and SR 316. These restrictions, part of an ongoing resurfacing project, will be in place starting Monday, May 6, through Fall 2024.
State Route 56: New Impact:
- State Route 56 Resurfacing: A closure will be in effect for SR 56 between SR 104 and U.S. 22 beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 30, and lasting until 7 a.m. on Monday, June 3. This closure is necessary for pavement repairs. Motorists are advised to follow the detour route, utilizing U.S. 22 to SR 104 to SR 56 or the reverse route.
The 11th superload will roll through Pickaway County on 104, it will turn on 762 into Ashville then go north following 762 into Franklin County on Friday morning.
