CIRCLEVILLE – World Down Syndrome day is observed on March 21 every year. On this day people with Down Syndrome and people who work with them throughout the world organize and participate in activates to make awareness to Down Syndrome. This is done to have a single voice around the world advocating for rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down Syndrome.
Our local Pickaway County Development Disabilities is calling for help in raising awareness by asking people to “wear your most colorful, fun, mismatched socks this Thursday and then post those selfies on social media with #PickKind for a chance to win a One Book, One Community “Wonder” gift basket. You can also email your photos to [email protected]!
Know a story about how someone with disabilities changed your life or perspective please comment on the page telling that story? Heres a great story on how people through the SEARCH program have changed the face of the work force.
