Ross County Auditor Jeff Lehner has announced that 2025 dog and kennel licenses are now available for purchase. Residents can obtain licenses through the Auditor’s Office, online, or at various local vendors throughout the county.

“We are pleased to once again partner with the Ross County Humane Society and small businesses across our community to make obtaining licenses convenient for everyone,” said Lehner. He emphasized that fees remain unchanged at $10 per dog and $50 for kennel licenses.

Under Ohio law, dog owners must register any dogs aged three months or older annually. The deadline for the 2025 registration is January 31, 2025. Late registrations are subject to state-mandated penalties. Proceeds from license sales support the Ross County Humane Society, which provides essential services for the community’s animals.
