Chillicothe, OH – December 27, 2024 – The Chillicothe Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a tragic single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Frankfort man early this morning.
The incident occurred around 2:08 a.m. on Norman Hill Road near Montgomery Lane in Concord Township, Ross County. Kyler A. Mootz, 28, was driving a 2002 Ford F-350 northbound when he veered off the left side of the road, striking a guardrail and a culvert. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn.
Mootz was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by Concord Township EMS, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Ross County Sheriff’s Department and Concord Township Fire and EMS. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
