Chillicothe — The Ross County Grand Jury returned 21 of their 24 cases on Friday, September 13th, 2024, with six open for release to the public. From testimony in the the grand jury in one of the cases, according to the Ross County Prosecutor’s Office:
When 38-year-old Carley Kay Moon of North Bridge Street was brought in after being arrested, the scanner at the intake of the Ross County Jail showed an anomaly that could be suspected drugs.
It turned out that she had hidden drugs inside her body.
She retrieved them.
For indictments on tampering with evidence, Moon could get up to three years and $10,000 in fines.
Moon remains in custody and other charges are still pending. Booking information shows that she is also charged with drug paraphernalia, illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse into a detention facility, and another charge of tampering with evidence.
