CHILLICOTHE, OH – The Ross County Humane Society has been awarded a $1,500 spay-neuter grant from the Ohio Pet Fund, providing crucial support for efforts to reduce pet overpopulation and ensure more animals receive necessary care.

The funding will contribute to the organization’s ongoing mission to provide affordable spay and neuter services, a key step in controlling the stray and shelter animal population.

Animal advocates can support similar initiatives by purchasing an Ohio Pet License Plate, as a portion of the proceeds directly funds grants for shelters and rescues across the state.

“We are incredibly grateful for this support from the Ohio Pet Fund,” the humane society announced. “This grant will help us continue our work in ensuring the well-being of animals in our community.”
