Chillicothe, Ohio – On July 2, 2024, the Chillicothe Police Department responded to a report of trespassing at McArthur Gardens. The incident involved William Woods, who was reportedly inside an apartment from which he had previously been barred.

Upon arrival at the scene, the responding officer knocked on the door of Apartment 114. Woods opened the door and claimed he was dog-sitting for the apartment owner. When the officer informed Woods that he was under arrest and attempted to enter, Woods tried to shut the door. The officer then placed Woods in handcuffs and transported him to the jail.

Woods was served with a felony warrant for probation violation (23CR433) and charged with criminal trespass. He will be held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 3, 2024.

A note confirming Woods’ barring from the apartment, dated March 19, 2024, was located during the investigation.
