Chillicothe – Police arrested a man who was found at a local ATM passed out behind the wheel of his car.
Officers initially responded to a call about two men passed out at an ATM at Atomic Credit Union on North Bridge Street. Upon arrival, they found Christopher Mead exhibiting signs of confusion and refusing to comply with their instructions after he was asked to submit to field sobriety testing but passively resisted. After repeated warnings, officers deployed a taser to subdue Mr. Mead due to his continued resistance. He was subsequently arrested for resisting arrest, but reportedly told officers he mistook them for muggers.
At that point Mead was advised he was under arrest for obstructing official business and resisting arrest before being transported to the Ross County Jail. Once I arrived at the Jail, Mead was booked on the above charges and advised of his court date of 2/2/24
at 0900am in the Chillicothe Municipal court.
