Ross County – Police Find Man Covered in Blood after Home Invasion

Ross County – Police found a suspect in a home invasion not to far from where the crime happened, the man was covered in another mans blood

Law enforcement officials were dispatched to a residence in response to reports of a violent altercation. Upon arrival, officers entered the premises and discovered a male, seated at the kitchen table. He exhibited visible signs of injury, with blood present on his face, hands, arms, and clothing. His injuries included lacerations, contusions, swelling, and bruises.

A nurse arrived on the scene shortly thereafter and began attending tohis wounds. During this time, officers spoke with the victium regarding the events leading up to the incident. According to him, an unidentified black male forcibly entered the residence, assaulted him, and subsequently fled the scene.

Following initial medical treatment, the victim was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center by the Fire Department for further evaluation. Upon his departure, officers collected evidence from the scene, including photographs documenting the aftermath of the altercation.

Additionally, law enforcement officers located and apprehended a suspect matching the description provided by the victim. The individual, identified as Samuel Brown, was found in the vicinity with bloodstains on his clothing and hands. Brown was detained for further investigation and informed of his Miranda Rights. Brown declined to answer any questions but did say that he recently, “smoked something.”

Photographs were taken of Brown’s attire and hands as part of the investigation process. He was subsequently transported to the Ross County Jail to face charges of Felonious Assault and Aggravated Burglary.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, with authorities obtaining surveillance footage from nearby businesses to aid in their inquiries. Further updates on the case are expected as the investigation progresses.
