ROSS – A investigation has been launched after family members contacted the Ross County sheriff’s department when a family member passed away and the nurse that was attending left and was nowhere to be found.
According to Ross County sheriff’s office, they were called to an address on SR-180 in response to a claim that a man who was on hospice had died. Family members on the scene had photos of the deceased man and told the sheriffs department that Melvin Mutter had passed away overnight on Saturday and was in the care of a hospice nurse. When the man passed according to the family the nurse just left the residence.
Sheriff department says that they are currently investigating the incident.
