The Ross County Special Olympics program will take part in the Columbus Polar Plunge for the second year in a row on Saturday, February 8th. This annual event is Ohio’s largest community fundraising effort benefiting Special Olympics athletes. The Polar Plunge will be held at the Columbus Crew’s Lower.com Field, where participants will take a chilly dip in support of inclusion.

Ross County athletes will be collecting pledges from friends, family, and local supporters to help fund their program’s day-to-day expenses. Funds raised will stay local, benefiting Ross County Special Olympics programs directly.

One of Ross County’s standout athletes, Noah Hiles, has been selected to appear on “Good Day Extra,” a lifestyle segment on Fox 28. He will be interviewed by hosts Cameron Fontana and Alissa Henry, alongside Special Olympics Ohio CEO Jessica Stewart. Noah, who serves as captain of the Ross County Polar Plunge team, is a passionate advocate and leader for Special Olympics. His involvement makes him a perfect representative for the program.
