ROSS COUNTY, OH – A woman was arrested on February 1, 2025, after allegedly breaking into an apartment and taking various items, including electronics and clothing, and cooking according to the Ross County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a report of an active burglary and arrived to find a woman, later identified as Angel Woods, detained by Deputy Jacob Johansen. Woods, known to deputies from previous encounters, was allegedly found inside the apartment, which belonged to a man who was not home due to a recent car accident.
The victim’s mother discovered the apartment door open and suspected someone had been inside. Upon entry, she noticed an air fryer was on, suggesting someone had recently attempted to cook. Authorities later found a new Roku remote, a Samsung phone, and a set of keys matching the apartment address in Woods’ possession.
During the investigation, the victim confirmed via a Snapchat call that he did not know Woods and had not given her permission to be inside his residence. A neighbor also provided video evidence of Woods approaching the property before the break-in.
Further searches revealed that Woods had stolen clothing items, including a Gucci belt and Timberland boots, as well as a Samsung smartwatch that was not in her possession during a prior arrest earlier in the month.
Woods was taken into custody and transported to the Ross County Jail, where she was booked on burglary charges. The case remains under investigation, with additional charges possible.
