Ross County Woman Arrested on Secret Indictments

ROSS COUNTY, OH – A Ross County woman, Jennifer Looney, was arrested over the weekend on serious charges including aggravated trafficking in drugs and identity theft. The arrest follows the reopening of indictments against Looney, with a warrant issued shortly thereafter.

On July 14th, law enforcement officers were dispatched to 153 University Drive after receiving information that Jennifer Looney was present and had active warrants. According to official reports, two secret indictments had been issued against Looney by the Ross County Sheriff’s Office. While en route to the location, officers spotted a Honda vehicle matching the description provided, and conducted a traffic stop on Western Avenue. Looney was found in the back seat and was promptly informed of the warrants for her arrest.

The warrants, dated June 28, 2024, and June 14, 2024, detail serious charges against Looney. The first indictment accuses her of identity fraud, classified as a fifth-degree felony. The second indictment lists three felony charges: aggravated trafficking in drugs (third degree), aggravated possession of drugs (third degree), and aggravated trafficking in drugs (fifth degree).
