RPHF Recycling – Special Request During COVID-19 Epidemic

DUE TO COVID-19: Effective immediately and until further notice: The Ross, Pickaway, Highland, Fayette (RPHF) Joint Solid Waste Management District is asking that:

(1) any person who has or has had a fever of 100.1 or above in the past two weeks;

(2) any person who has had an immediate family member or member of the same household with a fever during this period;

(3) any person who exhibits a fever in the future; and

(4) any person who has an immediate family member or member of the same household that develops a fever in the future;

to NOT place recyclables in the Community Drop-Off Recycling dumpsters operated by the RPHF Solid Waste Management District or any other recycling dumpsters in all Counties in Ohio.

We ask that if you fall into any of these categories that you please dispose of your recyclables with your regular trash.

This is measure that we must apply to prevent our employees and those of the companies that sort and market recyclables from being infected.
The management of recyclables requires direct contact with the recyclables by our staff and the employees of the companies that sort the materials and we are making this request to protect their health.

The RPHF Solid Waste Management District office is closed, but our staff is operating from home and at recycling sites when needed, until further notification.
