Sally Anne Jones passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 27, 2024.
Sally was born in Cumberland Ohio on August 10, 1938 to Albert Stewart and Marybelle (Simpson) Wilbur.
On November 26, 1959 Sally married Ralph Jones who preceded her in death in 2015. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage.
Besides her husband, Sally was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, daughter Linda Rice and son in law Daniel Rice.
Sally worked many years at PPG before retiring and was named PPG Employee of the Year during her career there.
On November 26, 2014 the City of Circleville proclaimed Ralph and Sally Jones Day. This was a testament to their many years of support and love they poured into their community. Together they were instrumental in forming several leagues in Circleville. These included youth bowling, girls’ softball and coed softball. Early in their marriage they helped form Operation Rudolph which preceded Toys for Tots in Pickaway County.
Sally considered everyone she met family and treated them as such. Her love knew no bounds. She truly was an angel in human form. She adored her grandchildren more than life and spent countless hours supporting them in their various activities. They were her pride and joy.
Sally is survived by her children Lisa (Mark) Bayless, Leslie (Larry) Jones and Ralph (Lora) Jones; grandchildren Lakisha (DeVaughn) Randle, Linzy “Cameron” (Brent) Jones, Larry (Joanna) Jones, LaNessa Jones (Chris Cruceta), Lea (Jose) Duran, Andrew (Jessica) Jones, Mark Bayless Jr and Shaun (Jessica) Bayless; 15 great grandchildren and sister in law Georgie Mae Stewart.
Funeral services will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at noon at Wellmans Funeral home with burial to follow in Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 2, 2025 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
