Santa Claus is making his rounds in Pickaway County this weekend, bringing holiday cheer to local communities with a series of exciting events for families to enjoy.
On Friday, December 21, 2024, don’t miss the Holiday Parade in Jefferson Estates. The Pickaway Township Fire Department, in partnership with the Pickaway Senior Center, Pickaway Sheriff’s Department, Circleville Township, and MOJO Jeepers, will light up the neighborhood with fire trucks, dazzling lights, and, of course, a special appearance by Santa himself. The parade will wind through Jefferson Estates, starting on Tarlton Road and traveling along Chickasaw Drive, Shoshoni Drive, Chippewa Drive, Puthuff Avenue, Neville Street, and Jefferson Avenue. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend and spread some holiday magic!
On Saturday, December 22, 2024, Community United Methodist Church in Circleville is hosting a fun-filled family celebration, Christmas with Bluey. Starting at 10:30 AM, the church will hold a special worship service with activities for children. Afterward, families are invited to enjoy a festive lineup of fun, including a photo booth, a bounce house, and plenty of surprises for all ages. The event will be held at 120 N. Pickaway Street, Circleville, OH. Families are encouraged to register in advance by scanning the QR code or visiting the church’s website at circlevillecommunitychurch.com.
Later that day, get ready for Light the Sky 2024, a heartwarming Christmas procession that will bring cheer to nursing home residents, hospital patients, and senior citizens across the area. The event will feature Pickaway County First Responders escorting Santa and Mrs. Claus through Circleville, spreading holiday cheer along the way. Spectators can line up along Clark Drive near Circleville City Schools or at any of the following locations: Wyngate Senior Living, Circleville Post Acute, Ohio Health Berger, Pickaway Manor, Brown Memorial Home, Kingston Mound Manor, and Logan Elm Health Care. It’s a festive procession filled with lights, sirens, and Christmas magic.
For pet lovers, Tractor Supply in Circleville will host a Pictures with Santa event at 1 PM on December 21, 2024, where pets are welcome to join in the fun! Dash Animal Rescue will be on hand to take photos of your furry friends with Santa. Donations will be accepted during the event, so stop by and capture some holiday memories with your pets.
