Scioto Elementary School held its annual toy and food drive to benefit the Commercial Point United Methodist Church. Through this drive, they collected 140 toys and 132 canned goods. The donations will be used to provide holiday meal baskets and toys to several Scioto families.
“Participating in the toy and canned food drive allowed us to help the Commercial Point United Methodist Church in providing assistance to families for the holiday season,” guidance counselor Rebekah Radcliff said. “Students were excited to bring items to school knowing it would help families in need and were able to experience the joy of giving to others.”
