On February 10, 2025, a search warrant was executed at Room 406 of McArthur Gardens, 1049 Columbus Street, following a drug complaint. The complaint was initiated after a tip-off about possible narcotics activity involving a resident, Jeanetta Honeycutt.

According to the Chillicothe police report, officers were contacted by an employee of Integrated Services, who had been informed by another resident, that Honeycutt was seen with suspected narcotics inside her apartment. Officers made contact with Honeycutt and a male, Russell Ford, who was found to have an active felony warrant out of Gallia County. Ford was taken into custody without incident.

In addition to Ford, two juveniles—aged 14 and 16 females —were found inside the apartment. The search of the apartment, which was approved by a judge, uncovered several items of drug paraphernalia, including burnt glass pipes and spoons with white residue, commonly associated with the use of crack cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl. A digital scale, an Oxycodone pill, and other items typically used for narcotics trafficking were also found in Honeycutt’s purse.

After being advised of her Miranda Rights, Honeycutt initially denied ownership of the items but later stated she had found the pill and was planning to return it. She was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and taken to the Ross County Jail.

The 14-year-old and 16-year-old juveniles were released into the custody of a family member. A drug analysis will be conducted on the Oxycodone pill found in the search, and additional charges related to drug possession may follow. The case has also been referred to Ross County Children Services for review.

The investigation is ongoing.
