COLUMBUS – A Serial Bank Robber is behind bars tonight after trying to rob his third bank in three days. On January 2, 2019 at 12:55pm, Anthony Collier entered Chase Bank at 833 S. High St., approached the counter & passed a threatening note demanding money.
The suspect implied a weapon in his waistband & told the teller to hurry up. The suspect became impatient & fled the bank without obtaining any money.
At approximately 1:12pm, Collier entered PNC Bank at 2060 Lockbourne Rd., approached the counter & passed a threatening note demanding money. The suspect demanded the clerk to hurry up & threatened to shoot up the bank.
The clerk complied & gave the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. He took the cash, exited the bank, entered a light colored Nissan 4-door & fled westbound Marion Rd.
January 3, 2019, at 1:35pm, the suspect struck again and walked into the Chase Bank located at 1551 Morse Rd & handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the scene and was last seen getting into a tan 4 door Nissan, Ohio tag. #HMF-2299.
According to Columbus Police Anthony Collier was arrested without incident last night at 17th & Clara Street by 7 precinct officers, Collier has been charged with all three crimes.
