PICKAWAY COUNTY, Ohio — Authorities are investigating a domestic violence incident following a report of a shooting threat on September 25, 2024. Deputies responded to a 911 call from a woman, who alleged that her boyfriend attempted to shoot her at their residence on SR 316 W.
When deputies arrived, the woman who called 911 was found visibly distressed. She informed them that her boyfriend, had left the scene in a white company vehicle marked with the logo of American Crane. For her safety, deputies secured the area and ensured she was safe while they searched for the suspect.
Dispatch later confirmed the suspects location at a nearby residence on Crystal Avenue. Officers conducted a protective sweep of the initial home before heading to the new location.
In an interview, the victim explained that the argument began when she confronted the suspect about his alleged infidelities. During the heated exchange, he reportedly retrieved a firearm from between couch cushions and pointed it at her. A struggle ensued over the weapon, resulting in multiple shots being fired.
Currently, there has been no arrest made, the Sheriff’s department is currently investigating, and charges are possible.
