OHIO – Millions of Americans depend upon the SNAP program as supplements to a low income situation and maintaining good health.  During the government shut down in January SNAP was ordered by President Trump to issue February’s benefits early, and issued the full month of Februarys benefits on January 20, 2019.

This early payment caused a more than 30 day gap between benefits, with families having to wait for benefit until the beginning of March to receive monies.  Ohio food stamps in a press release pleaded people to save and plan properly during the government shut down as they did not know when benefits would come next because the Food Stamp program is considered a benefit not a right.

In a press release released on Monday Ohio Food Stamps is offering partial March Benefits on February 22, and the second half of benefits on normal release date in March.  April will be back on schedule and released on April 1,2019.
