South Bloomfield – The South Bloomfield Police Department is proud to report another successful Topple the Truck toy drive, which brought together the efforts of local businesses, volunteers, and community members to support local children in need this holiday season.
This year’s event collected over 800 toys and raised more than $1,200 in cash donations to benefit the Pickaway County Community Action Agency (PCCA).
“We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Buckley Brothers, the Commercial Point Men’s Club, Zanzis Pizza, the Punishers LEMC, Wendy’s in South Bloomfield, and all of our area volunteers, officers, and donors who made this event possible,” said the South Bloomfield Police Department. “Their generosity and dedication are the driving force behind the success of Topple the Truck.”
The event has become an annual tradition, relying on community partnerships to bring joy to local families during the holidays. This year’s combined efforts brought toys and monetary donations that will ensure assistance for children and families throughout the Christmas season.
Additionally, community organizations and volunteers have played a critical role in supporting the event, alongside local police officers and village staff.
“Without the teamwork of local businesses, volunteers, and generous donors, this event would not have been nearly as impactful,” the department shared. “If we missed anyone in our acknowledgments, it was unintentional—we are deeply grateful to every single person and organization that supported this effort.”
The toys collected will be available through PCCA to families in need throughout the holiday season. The money raised will go toward further community assistance efforts as the organization continues its mission of supporting local families.
The Topple the Truck Toy Drive serves as a reminder of the strength of community collaboration and generosity during the holidays, ensuring every child has a brighter Christmas.
