Southern Ohio K9 Officer Mourned After of “COVID and Complications” Death

Clermont County – A 54-year-old K9 officer has died after “battling Covid and related complications

According to the Clermont County Sheriffs department K9 officer Deputy Jim Kirker passed away at Bethesda North Hospital after battling Covid and related complications. Jim was only 54 years old.

Jim began his career at the Sheriff’s Office in 1998, serving as a Corrections Officer, and was promoted to the Road Patrol in 2000. Jim has been assigned to the Washington Twp. contract car for the past 15 years. Additionally, Jim has been an active member of the K9 unit since 2014.

Jim was the beloved and devoted father of two sons and a daughter, he is also survived by recent a grandchild.
