CIRCLEVILLE, OH – State Senator Michele Reynolds (R) made a stop in Pickaway County yesterday, touring Circleville Schools as part of her ongoing efforts to connect with local communities. Reynolds, who is serving her first term in the Ohio Senate, represents Madison and Pickaway counties, along with portions of Franklin County, including Reynoldsburg, Grove City, and Westerville, among other areas.

During her visit, Senator Reynolds engaged with students, educators, and administrators, discussing key issues in education and local development. Her tour of Circleville Schools highlighted the district’s initiatives and challenges, providing insight into how state policies impact the local education system.

A Background in Leadership and Public Service

A lifelong Ohio resident, Reynolds has a strong background in community leadership and public service. Before joining the Senate, she served on the Madison Township Board of Trustees and has received numerous awards for her outreach work, including the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from former President Barack Obama in 2016. She was also honored with the Central Ohio Social Justice Award for Outstanding Leadership in 2019.

Beyond politics, Reynolds is a business owner, non-profit CEO, and licensed real estate salesperson, specializing in commercial real estate. She and her husband pastor The Destiny Center, a church in Franklin County, and together they raise six children in Canal Winchester.

Legislative Work and Pharmacy Access Expansion

Reynolds is an active legislator, currently serving as Chair of the Senate Housing Committee and Vice Chair of the Judiciary and Workforce Development Committees. Recently, she sponsored Senate Bill 95, aimed at expanding pharmacy access across Ohio, particularly in rural and underserved areas.

Senate Bill 95 creates a modern way for Ohioans to fill their prescriptions when needed to keep Ohioans healthy,” Reynolds stated. With the bill’s passage through both chambers, it now awaits the Governor’s signature.

The legislation requires the State Board of Pharmacy to regulate remote dispensing pharmacies utilizing telepharmacy systems, ensuring broader access to medication while maintaining patient safety standards.

Senator Reynolds’ visit to Pickaway County underscores her commitment to local engagement and policy-driven solutions, as she continues working to support Ohio communities through legislative action.
