MAINE – A lost kindergartener was found with some help from a police officer K9.
According to Law Enforcement on September 21, 2020, Trooper Zachary Fancy and K9 Dutch were requested to help York County Sheriffs office in Lyman Maine to track a kindergartener who had run off into the woods at recess time.
K9 Dutch who is trained in tracking led k9 Handler Fancy by using a sent from the Childs jacket. Pursuit of the scent led law enforcement into the deep overgrown woods. After tracking for almost a mile K9 Dutch was able to detect the child was close.
Troopers found the child on a rockp with no shoes, crying. Other than being upset and scared the child was able to be reunited with parents quickly.
