PICKAWAY COUNTY, OH – Authorities are investigating a mysterious vehicle rollover crash that occurred early Thursday morning, revealing a stolen car, firearms, and a pile of cash—but no driver in sight.

Around 2 a.m., the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Department responded to a crash on State Route 56 East near Huber-Hitler Road. Upon arrival, deputies found a 2004 Pontiac Vibe overturned at the bottom of an embankment, resting on its roof. Despite an immediate search of the area, the driver was nowhere to be found.

Inside the wrecked vehicle, deputies discovered a large sum of cash and a firearm, raising further suspicion. A background check on the car revealed it had been reported stolen out of Ross County. The registered owner stated he had left the vehicle at a local repair shop for maintenance and had no knowledge of who had taken possession of it.

As the investigation continued, authorities uncovered a second firearm hidden inside the car, which also turned out to be stolen from Ross County. Investigators have now launched a search for the missing driver, who may have sustained injuries in the crash.

Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they work to determine who was behind the wheel and how the stolen property ended up at the scene.
