Pickaway County – A local man was found guilty of multiple drug trafficking charges after a sting investigation was performed over several months.
According to multiple reports, a task force started undercover buys in May at his home and it cumulated in October when 45-year-old Ira Six was pulled over for a speed violation on Us-23 by Pickaway County sheriff and South Central Ohio Major Crimes Unit. Six at that time was already part of an investigation but during the stop, a free air sniff of the 2010 Black Honda Accord was performed and the K9 alerted to the presence of drugs inside the car. During a search of the vehicle a smoking pipe, a scale, clear plastic baggies, and over 31 grams of methamphetamines were located inside the vehicle. He was charged at that time with trafficking and possession of drugs. After the investigation Six was charged with a total of ten counts of (5) trafficking and (5) possession.
In December of 2023 Six was indicted on those charges, and in March Six agreed to a guilty plea deal of three felony Aggravated Trafficking Charges. Six is currently being held for a Presentencing investigation to determine the total penalties of his crime. Two of the counts hold a 8-12 years in prison sentence, the other 36 months. He will be sentenced in a few weeks, he is being held with no bond until sentencing.
