CIRCLEVILLE – A super blood moon will start to occur on January 20th from 9:36 p.m. and will complete the eclipse around 1:50 am on January 21.  When the moon is completely in the umbra or shadow of the earth around 11:41 something interesting will occur, the moon will turn red.  Why? Because when the light from the sun passes through the earth atmosphere molecules scatter the blue light and leave only the red in the shadow creating the Red Blood Moon.  Its “super” because the moon will be closer to the earth during this orbit making it larger.

This Eclipse will be able to be seen through North America, as long as we have clear skies, if not it can be viewed here
