n a message to the community, Teays Valley School Superintendent Kyle Wolf informed parents of a social media threat that mentioned Teays Valley High School. The notification was issued early this morning after school resource officers and administration became aware of the situation shortly after midnight.

Wolf clarified that the threat, which has been deemed a copycat incident originating from another state, lacks credibility. He emphasized that both the school resource officers and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office have been actively investigating the matter.

To ensure student safety, there will be an increased police presence at Teays Valley High School today, along with additional safety measures implemented by school administration.

“We appreciate the diligent work of our school resource officers throughout the night and the support from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office,” Wolf stated, reassuring parents and guardians about the safety of their children.

He concluded the message by thanking the community for their understanding and cooperation.
