COLUMBUS – A person has been charged with child endangerment after giving access to THC gummies to three seven-year-olds who ate the gummies at school.
According to the Columbus Police Department on March 21, 2023, at 6:58 p.m. Columbus Division of Police Patrol Officers were notified of a possible accidental drug overdose involving three students who attend Fairwood
Alternative Elementary School. Patrol personnel conducted a preliminary investigation and found while at school the victims three 7-year-old students had likely ingested THC gummies and were transported to
Nationwide Children’s Hospital for treatment.
After the investigation, police identified the suspect, Ms. Kweli Dixon, as the source of the THC gummies. On April 3, 2023, she was charged with three (3) counts of endangering children, and a summons to appear was issued by the Franklin County Municipal Clerk of Courts.
