
Fairfield County deputies seized a significant amount of illegal narcotics and arrested a Lancaster woman following a traffic crash on Amanda-Northern Road at Alspach Road on February 17, 2025.
Deputies responding to the crash discovered 26-year-old Kylee Saunders walking along the roadway and identified her as the occupant of the crashed vehicle. A K-9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle, where deputies found approximately 223.93 grams of suspected methamphetamine.
Saunders was arrested without incident and faces multiple charges, including aggravated possession of drugs under Ohio Revised Code 2925.11A and 2925.11C1. She was transported to the Fairfield County Jail.
Sheriff Alex Lape praised the deputies for their swift response, stating, “This is a significant drug seizure that prevents dangerous narcotics from reaching our communities. Our deputies are committed to keeping Fairfield County safe, and this arrest is a testament to their dedication and vigilance.”
