CHILLICOTHE, OH – A routine traffic stop on Bridge Street Thursday evening led to the arrest of a wanted woman and the discovery of drug paraphernalia, according to Chillicothe Police.

Officer Ryan McCoy initiated the stop after recognizing a red Dodge with expired registration and knowing that its registered owner, Aaron Blair, had a suspended driver’s license. Upon confirming the expired registration, McCoy pulled the vehicle over and identified Blair, who admitted his license was still suspended due to financial issues.

During the stop, the passenger, Sherri Parker, voluntarily disclosed that she had an active warrant for her arrest. Dispatch confirmed the warrant was for failure to appear on previous aggravated drug possession charges.

K9 Officer Caleb Sizemore arrived on the scene, deploying his K9 partner, Reg, to conduct a free-air sniff around the vehicle. The dog alerted to the presence of narcotic odor, prompting a search. Inside the truck, officers discovered a broken glass pipe with burnt residue near Parker’s seat.

Parker was arrested and taken to Adena Medical Center for evaluation after complaining of back pain. After being cleared by medical staff, she was transported to the Ross County Jail and booked on her warrant.

Blair was cited for driving under suspension and given a verbal warning for the expired registration. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

The glass pipe was photographed and placed into evidence, and the case remains under investigation.
