Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in New Holland

NEW HOLLAND, OHIO (September 19, 2024) — A routine traffic stop by the New Holland Police Department resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old male from Circleville for drug possession on September 19, 2024.

Officers initiated the stop in the area of Front Street near Main Street after observing traffic violations. During the investigation, they discovered the suspect in possession of approximately 20.82 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.

The suspect was arrested but later required medical attention due to a pre-existing condition and was transported by EMS for treatment. The suspected narcotics will be sent to the BCI Crime Lab for confirmation of weight and analysis. The case will subsequently be forwarded to the Pickaway County Prosecutor for potential additional charges.
