Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against a Colorado woman after a traffic stop in Summit County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 750 pounds of marijuana worth approximately $1,050,000.
On January 19, at 12:22 p.m., troopers stopped a 2019 Penske rental truck with Virginia registration for a marked lanes violation on the Turnpike. While interacting with the occupant, troopers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the truck. A probable cause search revealed the contraband.
The driver, Tiffany Ross, 42, Swink, Colo., was incarcerated in the Summit County Jail and charged with possession and trafficking in drugs, both second-degree felonies.
If convicted, she could face up to 16 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine.
