Frankfort – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury car crash in Concord Township, Ross County, Ohio. The crash occurred on March 2, 2019, at approximately 1:30 P.M., on County Road 550, just west of Frankfort, Ohio.
A 2003 Honda Civic, driven by David Irvin, age 29, of Bainbridge, Ohio, was traveling westbound on County Road 550, near the 3600 block. Mr. Irvin collided with a 2006 Kia Sorento, driven by Janet Debord, age 74, of Chillicothe, Ohio, and passenger, Margaret Ratcliffe, 84, of Frankfort, Ohio, who was traveling westbound on CR-550.
Mrs. Debord was attempting to make a u-turn. Mr. Irvin swerved left-of-center to attempt to avoid the collision. The vehicles stuck one another in the eastbound lanes. Mr. Irvin’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway after impact. Mrs. Debord and Mrs. Ratcliffe were flown to OSU Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. Mr. Irvin was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center before being flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Concord Township Fire & EMS assisted on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
