Pickaway – Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey is pleased to announce the arrest of two males from Michigan today. At around 1:55 PM Sgt. Stephen Harger was on patrol on US 23 in the area of US 22 when he observed a Ford F-150 far exceeding the posted speed limit and stopped the vehicle for the violation. Upon observing criminal indicators, he requested Cpl. Morningstar to the scene to assist. Both Deputies detected an odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle.
Upon searching the vehicle, Sgt. Harger and Cpl. Morningstar located approximately 38 grams (1 1⁄2 ounces) of Fentanyl and over $1700 in cash. The driver – D’Mario Johnson, 28 of Detroit, Michigan, and the passenger – D’Ante Johnson, 30 of Detroit, Michigan, were placed under arrest and transported to the Pickaway County Jail.
