Chillicothe – On Wednesday February 26, 2020 Chillicothe police were called to Walmart, 85 River Trace Ln. in reference shoplifters pushing out a cart full of items out of the store without paying.
According to the reports the lost prevention team were able to stop a man and a woman before they could escape with two televisions, two tires, 4 Airpods, cologne, and misc items, adding up to $1,622.88 dollars. The cost of those items may warrant a felony charge.
When police arrested the two people Rufus Mullins and Frankey Muncy police found a syringe was located in Ms. Muncy’s jacket pocket. During the search police found several drug abuse instruments, a plastic bag that contained a crystal substance, container and found that it also contained a plastic bag with a black tar substance inside, and a plastic bag with an orange strip, and an orange pill and white pills in it.
Mr. Mullins was booked into RCJ for charges of theft (F-5), and possessing drug abuse instruments. Ms. Muncy was booked for complicity to theft
(F-5), possessing drug abuse instruments, and obstructing official business. Both will be held in RCJ with no bond, pending their court date at the
Chillicothe Municipal Court. The seized contraband will be sent to BCI for testing. Investigation pending the lab results.
