Police Memorial Ceremony Date: May 3rd, 2024 Time: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm Location: Downtown Lancaster Gazebo The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Forest Rose Lodge 50, in collaboration with the Lancaster Police Department, invites the community to join in the Memorial Service honoring fallen police officers in Fairfield County. Beginning at 11:00 am, this solemn ceremony pays tribute to those who gave their lives in service to others. Representatives from the Lancaster Police and Fire Departments, along with the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Department and the Fairfield Medical Center Police Department, will be in attendance.
Light Ohio Blue Date: May 8, 2024 Time: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Location: Tree Church, 721 North Memorial Drive, Lancaster, OH 43130 The Lancaster Police Department proudly serves as the host city for the kickoff of the 2024 Light Ohio Blue event. This event, dedicated to honoring and raising awareness for police officers killed in the line of duty, features a spectacular parade of several hundred police vehicles. The parade will commence from the Tree Church, with a private event inside the church initially. Spectators are encouraged to gather along the parade route, which will proceed eastbound on Sixth Avenue, right on High Street, right on Main Street through the downtown area, and then head out on 22 toward Amanda.
