According to Sheriff Matthew O. Hafey on November 29, 2023 at 12:46 PM the Pickaway County
Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the area of State Route 104 and Van Meter Road on a beige Chevrolet Avalanche off the road on it’s top.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the vehicle, the beige 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche off the east side of State Route 104, over a large embankment near the Scioto River. Deputies located a female in the vehicle who was unresponsive. Harrison Township EMS arrived on scene and the female was pronounced dead at 1:09 PM.
The Pickaway County Coroner’s Office arrived on scene and requested an autopsy. An autopsy was performed by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office where the female was identified as 42-year-old Linda K. (Koylu) Chaney out of Columbus, Ohio.

Scioto Township EMS and the Circleville Fire Department for all of their assistance at the scene.
This accident remains under investigation by the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office.
