UPDATE – Amazon Driver Causes Head-On Collision in Circleville

Circleville, Ohio — A serious crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, involving an Amazon delivery driver and another vehicle. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident took place on State Route 56 near Dairy Shed and Rhodes Farm Market.

The crash unfolded when the Amazon driver who was operating out of his own personal vehicle a Chevy Cruze veered left of center and collided head-on with a Buick Enclave. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, with the Buick Enclave being propelled onto the property of Rhodes Farm Market. Both vehicles lost their front tire assemblies in the collision.

Firefighters were required to extricate the driver of the Chevy Cruze from the wreckage. The driver was subsequently transported to Berger Hospital with injuries. The three occupants of the Buick Enclave, all elderly, were taken to Grant Medical Center with more serious injuries.

The driver of the Chevy Cruze has been cited for the accident. Emergency response teams from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Circleville Police, Circleville Fire Department, Pickaway Township Fire Department, and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene. The roadway was closed for approximately one hour as authorities worked to clear the area and investigate the crash.
