Update – High-Speed Motorcycle Chase in Ross County Ends in Crash

Ross County – A high-speed chase ended in a crash when a local animal jumped in the way of the chase stopping the situation.

According to early reports around 10 pm a OSP Trooper attempted to stop a man on a motorcycle due to failing to use a turn signal and no license plate. When the trooper got behind the motorcycle and turned on his lights the motorcycle took off. The chase Started and ended on SR-327. The motorcycle obtained speeds of around 70 mph but did slow down at times because of heavy rain. In the area of Tar Hollow Road, the officer reported that the rider on the motorcycle was throwing items from his pockets including needles and a baggie. The chase continued until around East Fork road where the trooper reported a deer ran out in front of the motorcycle sending the driver off the roadway and into the ditch.

A witness reported that the suspect was laying on the roadway when he went by, and emergency medical was called to the scene to assist in any injuries.
