A serious two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Ohio 762 and Matville Road around 7:30 a.m. on 9/04/24, involving a Chevy Tahoe and a Honda Civic.
According to reports from the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Department, Connor Culwell, 25, of Circleville, was driving the Chevy Tahoe northbound on Matville Road when he failed to stop at the intersection’s stop sign. The Tahoe collided with a westbound Honda Civic driven by Dale Pike, 55, of Chillicothe.
Pike sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mount Carmel Hospital in Grove City. Culwell experienced only minor injuries.
Authorities have temporarily closed Matville Road north of Ohio 762 as they await the arrival of a towing service. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
